Thank you to everyone who came along to the Reform UK evening at Fakenham Racecourse on Tuesday 20h January 2026. It was a packed room, a lively exchange of ideas, and a genuinely enjoyable night with a great mix of local supporters, new faces and familiar ones.
The evening was structured in two parts.
Part 1 was a local government panel in a Question Time–style format, with Dan Barker (Reform UK board member), David Bick (Norfolk & Suffolk Mayoral Candidate), and Jimmi Lee (councillor at Broadland District Council). This section focused on practical local and regional issues, with direct audience questions and a strong emphasis on delivery and accountability.
Part 2 featured David Starkey in conversation with Mark Littlewood, followed by audience Q&A. The discussion was wide-ranging and sharp, with plenty of energy in the room and strong engagement from the audience throughout.
A few headline takeaways from the evening:
- A strong appetite for straightforward, common-sense politics that prioritises delivery over slogans.
- Real concern about public services, accountability, and standards in public life.
- An encouraging sense of local momentum, with many people asking how to get more involved.
