Why I’m Standing for Acle
I take a practical, straight-talking approach to public service, and I know first-hand how decisions made in County Hall affect everyday life. From the condition of our roads to the services you rely on, these decisions matter. That’s why I’m standing as the Reform UK candidate to represent Acle.
I’ve lived in Blofield for the last 11 years and I own and manage a tech business serving customers globally. I’ve worked with organisations such as Airbus, Volkswagen and Deloitte, helping improve how they operate and deliver services. I have also designed and implemented ISO9001 systems for medium and large businesses, so I understand how systems, processes and accountability need to work to deliver consistent results.
Having previously served as a Broadland District Councillor from 2019-2023 for Blofield with South Walsham, I have real, practical experience of local issues and how decisions are made. I was Vice Chair of Licensing and Chair of the Service Efficiency and Improvement Committee working cross-party to scrutinise and deliver major decisions, including the £7.1 million purchase of the Horizon building.
I resigned as a member of the Conservative Party whilst still in office in 2022, I was approached by Reform UK to defect, but I chose not to because I had been elected under one banner, and I believed it would have been wrong to switch parties without giving residents a say.
Equally, I did not believe it was right to trigger a by-election with only a short period left in my term, at unnecessary cost to taxpayers.
I have spent most of my adult life volunteering in some way whilst also working: I joined the the WRVS aged sixteen, delivering meals on wheels to vulnerable people. I served in the infantry in the Territorial Army. After completing my law degree I volunteered with the Citizens Advice Bureau as a generalist advisor helping people resolve legal issues. I founded an NGO supporting improvement of educational and healthcare outcomes for children in rural Botswana.
Most recently I served as a magistrate for nearly seven years, including as a Presiding Justice. In October 2025 I stepped down from the bench so I could speak openly about how our systems are working in practice.
From my time as a district councillor, I understand how decisions are made, where inefficiencies arise, and how often residents are left frustrated by the gap between promises and delivery.
My approach is disciplined and practical: strong scrutiny, better decision-making, and making sure the council consistently delivers what it is supposed to.
Getting Value for Your Council Tax
You deserve clear accountability for how your money is spent. I will push for tighter scrutiny and better use of resources.
Fixing the Basics
Roads, maintenance and infrastructure must be delivered properly and consistently.
Protecting Local Services
Decisions should be delivered on clear principles and long-term thinking, not short-term political expediency.
Standing Up for Residents
I will be a strong voice at County Hall, focused on practical outcomes and proper delivery.
Standing for Reform UK does not mean I do not care about the environment. I do, and I take it seriously.
For several years I was involved in conservation work in Botswana, which gave me a real appreciation of how important it is to protect natural habitats and manage them responsibly. Closer to home, as someone who has lived on the Norfolk Broads and is a keen sailor, I have seen first-hand the importance of protecting our waterways particularly in relation to plastics, and also to the rural communities, including farming, that depend on the land around us.
We need to safeguard what makes this area special in a way that is practical, balanced and grounded in real life.
This election is an opportunity to choose the kind of representation you want.
If you want someone with real-world experience, a strong understanding of how systems actually work, and a disciplined focus on delivery, I would be honoured to have your support.

Update 8th May 2026
I am honoured to have been elected to represent Acle on Norfolk County Council. Thank you to everyone who placed their trust in me. I will approach the role with the same disciplined, practical and delivery-focused mindset I spoke about throughout the campaign. Now the real work begins.
